Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw also known by her stage name Elizabeth Alice MacGraw has been as a performer, model and advocate for animal rights in America. She has been acclaimed for her roles in films such as Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969) as well as The Getaway, (1972). The daughter of a family of artists located in New York she wished to pursue a career in the field of arts. She began as a photo assistant and then moved on to modeling and acting. The award she received was her Golden Globe Award, for the most promising debutant. MacGraw's 1970 movie Love Story was an international success, earning the actress the Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. Within three years, she was named the number one female box-office participant in the entire world. Her handprints and signatures were recorded at Grauman's Chinese Theater. The other films she's appeared in are The Getaway Convoy Players as and the television miniseries The Winds of War. Moving Pictures, her 1991 autobiography, was released. MacGraw has been married three times.
