Zoe-perry

Perry was born on July 25, 1968 in Chicago In Illinois, she was the child of Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. Her first television appearances were Jackie Harris on ABC's sitcom Roseanne. Her mother played the character. Her parents, however, did not permit her to perform until she reached the age of adulthood because of the effects stress would affect their child. Perry states that she did not want to be an actor in highschool but decided to start acting as a social activity at Northwestern University when she switched from Boston University. Following her graduation, Perry moved into New York to search for TV work, landing a few roles on series such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent however, her homesickness led Perry back home to California where she found theater jobs. She and her mother starred on Broadway as a couple as part of The Other Place, in 2013. The show featured the father of her character Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in 2015 in the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. Perry appeared in 9 episodes of ABC's thriller The Family during 2016. In 2017, she played a recurring role on The ABC political thriller Scandal starring her father. In addition, she played her young Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon, a CBS spin-off of The Big Bang Theory. The role was selected via auditions having a strong association with it.
