Pickler, who was born Kellie Dawn Pickler in June of 1986, had a troubled childhood. As a toddler, her mother retreated from an abusive relationship. In 1995 she returned to her world as Pickler and obtained the custody rights. The situation didn't work out as it was originally planned. When Pickler reached the age of 12, the court remanded her to her maternal grandparents, which raised her to adulthood. Pickler was too occupied with motherhood in the absence of her parents. The mother of three admitted that she did not get enough time for school and began learning how to be a homemaker as a child. Pickler was a cheerleader in her middle and high schools. North Stanly High School, where she was a graduate in 2004, was her alma mater. Pickler has also been a beauty contestant. The title she held was that of Miss Stanly County. Her roles included films, including the horror film Phenomena as well as the musical Labyrinth; the romantic comedy Career Opportunities; and the superhero period film The Rocketeer.
